What a journey "Rock & Roll Diary" has been!

When I decided to make this record it was for a few reasons; One being that I'd always written songs and produced artists (or even my own bands) for the singer/s in the band to represent. And for good reason! I don't consider myself a lead vocalist.

Another important reason was to express myself in any style or influence without worrying about a particular 'box' to put it in. I have many influences as a guitar player, songwriter, producer, bassist etc. and I was able to express that freely.

What's next?

Creating records is a tall order. Especially when often I'm doing them mostly on my own; The writing, arranging, engineering, mixing etc. Of course that is not to minimize the gigantic creative input from band mates. They lift things up to new heights and I could not thank them enough! I was quickly reminded of that when trying to raise my game on this record on the vocals, bass playing and of course the drummers on the record are the best of the best.

And while creating original music is what I feel I was born to do, these days it's tough to make any kind of living from it and even to get people to hear it. So I've shifted towards more playing live shows with my band YYNOT as well as freelancing as a guitarist or bassist on the road. HOWEVER, I'm squeezing in time to track our wonderful vocalist Adi Argelazi on previous YYNOT material as well as re-mix many of the tracks. I also have a new original song that I've been back and forth on in between all the goings on that I'm thinking about including in the band's next album package.

Also, be on the lookout for my final single release and video for "Follow The River: coming out June 13th. One of my most personal songs and a bit of a snapshot on my whole music career.
