Writing/New Project/Upcoming Shows

Hello everyone, I'll be trying to keep you all up to date on things as I'm very excited about some new ventures as well as some col upcoming shows. I'm currently in full creative mode again as I've decided to go ahead and make another solo record. I've written 2 songs so far and the recording on one is getting closer to completion. Once again I'm just making the music that comes out naturally without any thought to styles or anything else. If I write something "prog" I will, if it's more mainstream rock (whatever that is these days LOL) then that's what I'll follow. As long as the songs are about things I care about and feel passionate about and have all the things I crave as a music lover i.e. strong lyrics, riffs, hooks, interesting arrangements and great playing.

Speaking of lyrics, a book of many of my lyrics for all the songs I've written for YYNOT, my solo record and an advance look at one of the new songs as well as a Christmas song. Yep. I'd never written any kind of holiday song before but this one just popped up. I've actually already recorded it to be released during the holidays. My idea is to make a video for the song but instead of my ugly mug, have you guys as fans be in the video. So you might be hearing from me about that soon too ;)

This month a good friend and great singer and I decided to put together a new live act focusing on the music of the 70's. Great songs with great players and singers. I've missed singing 3 and 4 part harmonies in a band as it's one of my favorite things to do in a band. More info on that as we go. Also next month YYNOT are doing 2 shows, one in Detroit and one in NJ. Then in January is the big "Bubba Bash"! Always a blast and a challenge to learn new Rush material and of course play the stuff live with guest musicians with no rehearsal, yikes!
