"1985" Retro solo CD autographed Pre-Order

I had just graduated from high school in Maryland. At 18 I'd spent the previous 3 years practicing 4 hours a day, playing in bands professionally with elder musicians and teaching at a local music store.

I moved to Ohio temporarily where I wrote these musical pieces to take into the studio to record as my "calling card" to then drive out to Los Angeles and throw my hat in the ring to get discovered as late teen shredder on guitar. These were the days of the guitar hero; playing fast, over the top and hair to match. I went in on all three. I was listening to a TON of classical music and guitarists such as Adrain Vandenberg, Yngwie Malmsteen, Al Di Meola and Allen Holdsworth. I went into the studio fully prepared, played all the instruments with local drummers in Ohio then Maryland.

Hearing this music 40 plus years later of course I chuckle a bit at how dated and a bit derivative it is but at the same time, I can hear where I was heading as a serious writer and arranger. I started writing more actual songs with lyrics and recruiting local singers to sing them. I'm including a few of those tracks here that were done a year or so later in Maryland.
